We are not aware of that as a common issue. Hopefully the gear selector mechanism itself is out of alignment rather than something within the gearbox. Kia has a good warranty and your 141 car should still be covered, but it depends on whether this happened due to external damage to the selector or not. Best bet is to bring it along to a Kia dealer as soon as you can so it doesn't cause any further damage.
