A reduction in battery charge shouldn't cause that dip in power you're experiencing, especially as it starts first time. That shows that the battery and the charging circuit are probably just fine. Without further information it's difficult to assess what is causing the issue though so we'd urge you to bring the car to a good mechanic for a look.

If you do decide to go for a new estate with a budget of €30,000, the world is your oyster really.
