There is a known issue in that car as you've described, but the fix appears to be a reprogramming of the engine control unit, which won't be cheap. I'd suggest bringing the car to a Nissan dealership to have it looked at as they'll likely know exactly what the issue is and be able to fix it for you - hopefully without it costing an arm an a leg.
