What's up with my Avensis?
Greetings, I own a Toyota Avensis 2010 model,2.0L engine, D-4D. I have recently replaced 2 fuel injectors after failure. Upon replacement and inputting the compensation codes and running the engine afterwards, the check engine light, check car parking brake system and VSC tracking. I used a scan tool to detect the error and it displayed p1601 eeprom thermal degradation error. I tried to clear the error but it did not clear. The engine is running very fine, the consumption and power are normal. I don't know what to do, please assist me with this issue.

Our system tells us that error 'P1601' is 'injector programming error' I'm afraid, so it appears that the ECU has not been reprogrammed properly. You'll have to try to do that again and if you can't get anywhere then your only option might be to bring the car to a Toyota service centre to sort it out.
