What's up with my Astra's engine temp?
i have a 2010 opel astra and over the last week i have noticed that when i hit a motorway my engine starts to cool down , but once i get back on to slower roads my engine will heat up again to the normal temp of the engine. However this problem only seems to be happening first thing in the morning ? thanks

It sounds like a problem with the car's engine thermostat sticking open when everything is relatively cold first thing in the day. A good mechanic will be able to confirm that and then replace it for you without drastic expense I would hope.
