What's the whistling in my Golf?
Hi I have an 2011 1.4 turbo vw golf tsi, and I bought it a month ago and theres a weird whistling noise coming from the engine, and the dealer ship people said it's the turbo cooling down, but sometimes when I start the car up and leave it for about 2 mins the sound will start, or if I'm driving if I'm going 50ks under it'll also make that sound. I am worried its not the turbo. Please help

The turbo itself shouldn't be making a sound like that, but it is possible that the dealership is talking about the cooling fan. That can be noisy and will certainly be audible at a standstill. I'm surprised you can hear it when on the move, but wouldn't rule it out. If in doubt, get a second opinion from an independent mechanic.
