Well, the absolute range-topper is the OPC high performance version with its 2.8-litre turbo V6 and four-wheel drive. But for us mere mortals the top spec Insignia has always been the Elite. It features full-spec satnav and infotainment as well as leather, dual-zone climate control and more. It's suitably luxurious, but it's worth remembering that the SRi models have much of the Elite's equipment, plus subtly sportier styling, for a slightly lower price.
