What's the noise in my Tiida?
Hiya I have an 08 nissan tiida yesterday I was turning a corner and heard a weird noise from stering wheel like a spring being tightened any idea what it is Im afraid to drive her now!! Cancelled OT in work today because of it :( any help you could give would be great and the Cost she's due shocks and pads this service thank you Lisa

Hi Lisa,
This is a common problem on the Tiida and it's due to the electric power steering system. Unfortunately, it's not a cheap fix, as it requires replacement of the power steering motor at the top of the steering column. You could try to find a second hand part, but as this happened to a lot of Tiida's it wouldn't be worth the risk in my opinion.
