The C4 Picasso is actually pretty robust, but you need to watch the 1.6 HDi diesel engine for turbo and exhaust gas recirculation valve trouble, and for leaky oil pumps and fragile water pumps. It also needs a steady diet of high-grade oil to work reliably long-term, so keep that in mind. Make sure you buy with a full service history and you should be fine.
