What's the best small family car?
Best small/mid size family car? Currently looking to change up from 2012 Seat Ibiza to something a little bigger(First baby on the way- boot space essential !!). Only doing average 12000km per year so petrol seems only option. Budget a bit tight 4,000 to 5,000 with Ibiza(9000?) as trade in. Any recommendations

I think, with the Ibiza, you’re probably looking at a budget of around €10k, maybe €11k with a following wind. With a first baby, you obviously need something with a big boot and more space in the back seats. Why not stay within the SEAT family and get yourself a Leon? Lots of space, solidly reliable and a decent boot. Or, slip across the Volkswagen empire to Skoda and get an Octavia Combi estate? All the same mechanical bits, but an even bigger boot and more space in the rear. Future-proofs you for baby number two…
