Hi Peter,
That should be a C 200 Kompressor with the 163hp supercharged engine. It was introduced to replace the older 2.0-litre normally aspirated petrol units and was better on fuel, but they are not regarded as one of Mercedes’ finest engines in terms of refinement. They are reasonably reliable but watch for issues with the radiator and oil in the engine wiring loom.
