hi i have a 1987 BMW 635CSI, 100,000miles, garaged for the past 10 years, bought it as investment...what do you think the car is worth in todays market?...no rust or dents thanks bobby
Hi Bobby,
Valuing examples like yours is very hard, because the classic car market is booming right now and prices for seemingly similar vehicles can fluctuate wildly; it can be a realistic price, or a ‘telephone number’ plucked from the air, which sellers ask for and buyers sometimes oblige with. Your car should be worth at least €20,000, maybe possibly more like €25,000-€27,000 at the moment. The mileage is normal for a 635 CSi of this era, so if the condition is as immaculate as you say, aim for €25,000 – but if you keep hold of it, then it may well continue to increase in value. You also have the added market of the UK, where prices for immaculate 635s tend to be £20,000-£25,000, and BMW collectors over there are finding E24s ever harder to get hold of.
