What makes the tripmeter on my Honda Accord 2.2 diesel go back to 0 when I refuel it?
Hi Kevin,
This should be reasonably simple to explain – many trip computers on cars now have three readings: one that resets automatically every time you get in the car after a long period of it being switched off (i.e., the morning after you’ve parked it on your driveway for the night); one that won’t reset itself at all, totalling your overall mileage, mpg, time and speed figures in the car – unless you choose to reset this manually; and then one that counts all of the above from the last time you refuelled your car. Sounds to us like you’ve got your Accord showing the ‘Since Refuel’ part of the trip computer; a few clicks of the Trip button should get it back to one of the others.
