What's causing the light to come on in the dash?
I have a 2006 Kia Sorento commercial with 215,000km on the clock. When I brake hard my handbrake light comes on the dashboard. Would you be able to shed light on this?

Hi Michael,
Are you sure it's the parking brake light that's coming on? It's more likely to be the brake pad wear indicator - the icons look similar. This shows that one or more of your brake pads are close to needing changing. It's quite easy for a mechanic to check how much life is left in the pads without taking off the wheels.
