Well, the Caravan Club has just given the Land Rover Discovery its Tow Car Of The Year award for 2016, but that might be a bit too expensive for you. Happily, they also recommended the Volkswagen Jetta 2.0 TDI and the Skoda Octavia Scout, both of which can tow a caravan of more than 1,200kg.
