What will I swap my Civic for?
Hi there. Trading in a 08 Civic and looking for best value around €15k for a non Prius hybrid or petrol 1.4? Hatchback or SUV preferred. Mostly city driving with monthly long (300km+) trips. Maybe I’m better to just go with newer Civic?

You could, in theory, get away with a hybrid, thanks to your regular city driving, but for your budget, you might not get the best hybrid going. Your mention of a 1.4-litre petrol makes us think you ought to slightly readjust your perception and go for the turbocharged 1.2-litre Volkswagen ‘TSI’ engine, perhaps in a Leon 1.2 TSI – which would fit perfectly in with your needs and be a pleasure to drive.
