What will I replace our Touran with?
We have a 2007 Touran petrol and want to get something similar in diesel. Is there anything that compares space wise and reliability wise? Any point in considering estates? Totally confused at this point! Hope to go up to 2011/ 2012 depending on price.

Hi Caroline,
You could of course consider trading up to a newer Touran, which is still a pretty nice car. The current model with the 1.6 TDI diesel engine is a good thing, and there’s a sleeker, slicker all-new Touran coming before the end of the year.
If you don’t actually need seven seats, then a switch to an estate could well be a good plan. Skoda’s Superb and the Volkswagen Passat have cavernous rear ends, but I’d recommend trying a Mazda6 Estate – handsome, comfy, reliable and lovely to drive.
