In comparison to the smooth power delivery and decent performance of the e-Power Qashqai, the RAV4 is a little noisy and uncouth. It also hasn't got as much performance. It is a fraction larger inside perhaps, but feels hard-wearing rather than tactile as the Qashqai can (depending on trim level).

You should also go check out the latest Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage, both offered as hybrids, while another car people often forget is the excellent Renault Austral.
