What to look for on the 2013 Santa Fe?

I have intent of checking up a used 2013 hyundai Santa fe sport with 85,000 miles from a dealer tomorrow. I would need your advice on what to check in the car and most importantly to know before buying.04/27/2018.

Our answer:

Hi Bamidele,

Modern-day cars are typically very reliable and solidly built machines, so a 2013 Sante Fe with average mileage on it shouldn’t present any specific issues. You’re looking for any obvious signs of extreme wear, such as loud clonking noises from the suspension when driving, excessive play in the steering rack or – something you shouldn’t find if all is well with the car – any exterior rust. Other than that, the Santa Fe Sport is a fine vehicle and as long as you like it on the test drive, you should be grand – but bear in mind it is just about to come out of its manufacturer-offered five-year warranty. It might be worth asking how much it would cost to extend that warranty with the dealer.
