You've not mentioned which engine you're interested in, but some general advice for that generation XC60 to look out for:

- Cars with sunroofs often develop water leaks. Relatively easy to fix, but you don't want a damp interior.

- The starter motor on the diesel engines can cause a series of seemingly unrelated issues, with the headlights, fuel filler flap and other electrical system. The starter usually needs replacement.

Generally it's quite robust, and that's near the end of that generation's life, so any early production issues should have been already ironed out.
