What to do with UK-reg Focus?
hi, bought a uk reg 08 ford focus with intentions of paying vrt and using it as an irish car but ended up buying a 141 vw. the focus has been sitting for a few months still on uk plates so not sure what to do with it. any advice would help.cheers

Hi Eamonn,
Legally speaking, you should have made an appointment to change the registration within seven days and then paid the VRT within 30 days of the car arriving in Ireland. If you're outside that window then you may be liable to a fine. Regardless, if you no longer need the car, you could be as well off to sell it in the UK again, even if it does mean more costs with transportation etc.
