What to do about this BMW 320d?
Hi Looking to buy a 2008 BMW 320D Coupe, Regarding the n47 Timing chain issue how would I find out if it was recalled? as car was an import from England is there a quick and easy way to find this out, As I'm going to view the car in a few hours I am quite concerned as it would be alot of money to hand over with out this info, What can you advise?

Theoretically the fault was fixed from 2011 onwards, so if this car has been properly serviced and cared for since then, it should be fine. The only way to tell is to ask the existing owner and check the car's history very, very carefully.
