What to do about my Insignia's infotainment?

What to do about my Insignia's infotainment?

I got a 2019 opel insignia at the end of January. Unfortunately when I ordered the car at the start of the year I wasn't told the infotainment system was being downgraded. Now I have no messages and the Android auto only works partially. What advice can you give me when dealing with opel? They keep fobbing me off. Thanks.

Our answer:

Hi Helen,

First thing we did was to ask Opel's opinion on this kind of scenario. Here was the response:

‘Many customers are coming across this issue as the infotainment systems in new cars continue to advance. It sounds like this is a phone compatibility issue, in which case I would suggest you request a copy of the list of the compatible phones with your IntelliLink system, which your Opel dealer should be able to provide. You should also check if a software upgrade is due on your phone which may resolve the problems you’re experiencing.’

If that is not the issue, then I'm not sure what to suggest as your next step. Unless the car delivered differs from that on the order specification, then I don't believe Opel will be able to do anything further for you.
