Ok, it’s pretty easy really. You need to fill out the change of ownership details on the vehicle registration certificate and send it off to the Driver and Vehicle Computer Services Division in Shannon. They’ll register the change of ownership and despatch a new ownership cert to the new owner. One thing though, don’t whatever you do hand over the keys until the cash for the sale is in your hand or in your account. Not to cast doubts on your buyer unfairly, but there are a lot of scams out there and never ever let someone head off in your car without the payment clearing first.
