Best estate car?, considerations are, 1. Circa 17k 2. 120km daily commute 3. Trailer tent to tow with camping gear on yearly Trips to Europe and weekends around Ireland 2 adults and two tallish kids 4. Comfort and reliability Thanks and kind regards, Gordon
Hi Gordon,
It’s hard to look past the Skoda Octavia Combi. Roomy, comfy, reliable, well-priced and with the option of four-wheel drive to pull you out of muddy campsites. Other good options are the Mazda6 Estate (comfy and brilliant to drive, but much more expensive than the Skoda), the Skdoa Superb (huge inside and very sophisticated, but you’ll pay more than for the Octavia) or the Peugeot 308 SW (good sized boot, well made and the 1.2 petrol turbo engine is excellent).
