Lots of good options around at the moment. If you want a compact saloon, try either a Skoda Octavia 1.2 TSI or a Ford Focus Saloon 1.0 EcoBoost.

 

Something a bit bigger? The Ford Mondeo comes with a 1.5 turbo EcoBoost engine or you could try a Mazda6, which can be had with an excellent (and surprisingly economical) 2.0 SkyActiv-G petrol engine. 

 

Audi's A3 Saloon can be had with a 1.4 TSI petrol turbo, if you fancy something more premium, or you could just go the whole hog and get a BMW 328i...
