For its petrol 1.4, Peugeot reckons you only need to change the belt every ten years, but we’d suggest having it at the very least inspected a lot more frequently than that. If it’s the 1.4 HDi model then the mileage change point is 240,000km or, again, ten years, but we’d still suggest having it checked out much sooner, especially if the car is used on short hops often.
