What fuel octane rating for a s40 2007
Hi Lyn,
You've not mentioned which engine, but it's the same answer pretty much for all. That age of car has an engine control system that adjusts itself, so it can adapt to quite low octane ratings if needs be. Theoretically it should run better in terms of performance if you use a higher octane rating, but there will be a limit to that. We'd suggest there's no reason to use anything other than the basic 95 octane rating fuel in a car of that age.
