Generally speaking, it means it’s being offered as a trade purchase – for another professional car dealer to come and take it away for selling on. That means that it’s probably not in great condition and that it’s expected to need some work in the near future. That said, you can still buy it as a private buyer, but tread carefully and make sure that the dealer knows that you know that you’re still covered by full consumer protection if there are any issues with the car. They can’t use the ‘trade and tow away’ thing later on to weasel out of issues.
