The third generation Laguna was actually not too bad - far, far better built and more reliable than the Laguna II that preceded it. Very comfortable too and the 1.5 dCi diesel engine is a good unit. Watch for electrical gremlins though (check literally every button and switch) and don't buy it unless it has a proper and full service history. Oh, and don't expect it to hold on to value - depreciation on them is crippling.
