What do I do about my ruined Tucson?

What do I do about my ruined Tucson?

Hi I have an immaculate 10 Hyundai Tuscon commercial that is being written off due to rodent damage.. I live in Co Clare I bought the car brand new and as I stopped working as a dog trainer shortly after the car has not been abused, low mileage and Never been in an accident etc. I would like to replace the car with similar so can you let me know A a recommended vehicle? B how much would I expect from the Insurance company? C how much reclamation would I get if I sold her on? I would really appreciate your advice Many thanks

Our answer:

Hi Bev,

Figuring out insurance values is a very tricky game, but I reckon between €4,000 and €5,000 will be your ballpark. You wouldn't get much more, and possibly slightly less in fact, if you tried to sell it yourself as a write-off.

As for a replacement vehicle in a similar vein, you won't go wrong with a Hyundai ix35 - it was the Tuscon's replacement and it's a cracking car. Roomy, comfy and nice to drive. Reliable too, unless you reckon that the rodents round your way have developed a taste for Hyundais...
