What cars are suitable for families?
Hi We are due our first baby in June and I am starting to look at cars that would be suitable for families. I was looknig at SUV range and going between peugeot/hyundai/nissan etc. Lots out there! Wondering what advice you may give as regards best in the market for space, re sale value reliability in this type of car and if you might recommend any particular make or model?

Hi John,
Well, the secret is, that buying an SUV is actually a bad idea. They look big, but are often actually quite small inside, and can be expensive to run. You’re better by far going for a mid-size estate — Golf, Octavia, 308 SW, cee’d SW or similar — which will have a bigger boot and lower running costs.
