Assuming it’s the 1.6 petrol, as the 1.6 HDi wasn’t offered with an automatic gearbox, then the rated towing weight of your Peugeot is 1,100kg of braked trailer. Realistically, that means you can tow quite large caravans, but you need to carefully think about their unladen/laden weight – for example, there’s no point buying a 1,000kg caravan, as you’ll barely be able to put anything in it without exceeding the Peugeot’s towing capacity. Look at smaller, single-axle, two- and four-berth caravans as the best bet.
