What are the Lexus hybrids like?
Hi, just thinking of purchasing a Lexus 300h . What is a realistic fuel consumption? What's the depreciation likely to be . I do about 50000 km a year for work. Would you recommend a 300h or something else?

Hi David,
Do you mean the IS 300h, or the bigger GS 300h? The GS is the better car — far more comfortable and refined, and brilliant on a long journey, so with that much mileage I’d try to nudge you in that direction. Fuel economy, depending on how you drive them, should work out at around the 45-50mpg mark for both, so comparable with a rival diesel, but rather more future-proofed. Excellent quality and reliability for both, too.
