We need room for three in the back...
Hi. We are about to have our third child and will then have three children under five. I am looking for an SUV/MPV type vehicle that can fit three in the back (don't really want to have a thrid row as need to keep an eye on them!). We have a Qashqai (which I love) but it won't fit three in the back. Budget is approx €15k ,but will depend on what I get for my trade in. I don't really like the look of the wagon type cars and looking for something a little more moden/classy looking (fussy I know!).

Well, if you already like the Qashqai then there are a few options. I think your best bet is to stay in the type and size of car that you like – so stick with either a newer Qashqai, a Hyundai ix35, a Kia Sportage or a Ford Kuga. Now, all of these are a little bit tight across the back for three car seats but there is a solution – you can buy a plug-in kit that converts the back seats from a standard 2+1 layout to a full-width fitting that can accommodate as many as four child safety seats. They’re available from EP Mooney’s on the Long Mile Road in Dublin and the kit and installation cost in the region of €1,500.
Actually, if you fancied saving your cash and keeping your current Qashqai, that would also be a good option.
