Was the open XK150 a factory car?

I see photos of XK 150s that look like the top has been chopped. Are these factory cars or modified cars.

Our answer:

Hi Mike,

No, open-top Jaguar XK150s were a factory option – the drophead coupe was available from launch in 1957, alongside the fixed-head coupe, while a two-seat roadster was added in 1958. The latter had minimal weather protection, though.
