VRT on importing a classic?
Hi, I am thinking of buying a vintage car in Ireland but it is registered in the Isle of man, its been here for a few years, just wondering if I buy it will I be liable for the vrt from when it came into the country or only from when I buy it Thanks John O'Reilly

Hi John,
VRT is only calculated after a car is imported into Ireland. Anyway, VRT for any car that is over 30 years old is a flat rate of €200.
