I am planning on buying a Peugeot 3008 Allure, year 2019, 1.6 diesel engine in the North what will the vrt be ?? Thanks
Hi Louise - and thanks for adding a little more detail to the question.
As I mentioned before, please regard this as an estimate only, as our calculation of the possible VRT bill is based on an estimate of the OMSP (Open Market Selling Price) that Revenue will attach to the car. We'd suggest that'll be in the region of €26,000.
There are loads of different versions of the 3008 that fit into your description and yet have different CO2 ratings, but it should be in and around 108g/km, which means Band 8 for VRT at 13.5 per cent.
With an OMSP estimate of €26,000, that would mean a potential VRT bill of €3,510. If the OMSP is higher, and/or the emissions rating is actually above 110g/km, then the VRT will go up of course.
