Hello, I have a question to see if you would have any idea how much VRT might be on a Porsche Cayenne 2015 3.0 diesel Selling price of €23500. ? Any help much appreciated
Hi Alex,
The VRT calculation depends on the band - determined by the CO2 rating - and the OMSP, which is the Open Market Selling Price. The latter is not the price the car is sold for, but the value Revenue believes it to be worth in Ireland, registered. It's not always easy to guess, especially for rarer cars such as this Cayenne.
For the purposes of our calculation, let's say an OMSP of €40,000. The CO2 puts it into the top band for VRT, at 41 per cent, so that would mean a VRT bill of €16,400.
Don't forget about the NOx levy on top of that.
