Difficult to say as the Irish market value will play a part in the VRT payment, as we presume you’re importing this from the UK (or other market) – so it’s not what price you pay there, it’s what the vehicle is deemed to be worth here. We reckon it’s around €10,000, as a rough guess, so you’re looking at either Band D (with CO2 of 169g/km for the 98hp model), meaning 27 per cent of the Open Market Selling Price (thus, €2,700 of VRT) or Band E (for the 130hp model with 172g/km of CO2), meaning 30 per cent of the OMSP and thus €3,000 of VRT.
