While we know that car will be in the top band for VRT - at 41 per cent of the Open Market Selling Price (OMSP) - it's trickier to estimate what Revenue will say the OMSP is. If it's €40,000, then the VRT will be €16,400 for example, but you'll need to make a call on that OMSP for yourself.

Don't forget the NOx levy will be quite high for that car as well and, if you're bringing it in from England, then you'll be paying VAT and import duty, too.
