Can you tell me the vrt for 2018 maserati ghibli 16000 miles on the clock thanks
Hi Alan,
As that car is so rare, it's a tricky thing to work out. First up, I assume you mean the 3.0-litre diesel. That has an NEDC CO2 rating of 158g/km. Revenue will 'uplift' that figure to an equivalent WLTP rating, which brings it up to 193g/km. That means a VRT rate of 37 per cent. That's applied to the Open Market Selling Price, which is the price that Revenue deems the car will sell for in Ireland, not the price you paid for it. That part is notoriously difficult to predict, especially with rare cars. We'd estimate that at €60,000, which means a VRT fee of €22,200.
Don't forget, you'll have to pay the NOx levy on top of that, even if it's coming from Northern Ireland, and, if it's from elsewhere in the UK, you will have to pay VAT and import duty, too.
