VRT difference between these Astras?
I'm looking to buy an Astra out of the north of Ireland and vrt it for the republic. How can I tell the difference between a 2013 Astra 1.7 gtc eco flex Sri s/s 130 bhp and the Astra 1.7 gtc Sri s/s 130 bhp. I ask this because there is 300 euro difference in the vrt. Any help appreciated.

Hi Mark,
That VRT difference is most likely down to the fact that the EcoFlex model, although it uses the same basic engine, has slightly lower CO2 emissions — 109g/km versus 119g/km. That means a drop from Band A4 (17 per cent VRT) to Band A3 (16 per cent VRT), which is probably where the difference is coming from. There should be an EcoFlex badge to show the difference.
