The first thing to do is estimate what Revenue might say the car is worth in Ireland. That's called the Open Market Selling Price (OMSP) and the VRT calculation is based on that. A quick look through similar cars for sale on Carzone.ie reveals a top price of about €30,000. Let's take that as a worst-case scenario and hope Revenue aims lower.

Next we need the CO2 rating to determine the VRT band the car sits in. Depending on wheel size it will either be in Band 9 or 10, attracting VRT of 15.25 per cent or 16 per cent, respectively. Taking the worst case again - 16 per cent - then the VRT would work out as 16 per cent of €30,000, i.e. €4,800.

Don't forget you'll be liable for the NOx levy as well, and potentially VAT and import duty depending on where the car is coming from.
