I’m selling my mothers 141 Yaris “Sol”. Mileage is 22,000 km. There are scrapes on both bumpers from touching against her pillars. Also a dint in the passenger door. The repair cost is estimated to be €1500. Internally it is perfect and has the sporty look with reversing camera. Wondering about the value & whether i5 would be better to sell “as is” or have the repairs done first.
Hi Gerry,
Ordinarily, a low-mileage 141 Yaris Sol like this should be worth well into five figures, probably something like €11,500 to €12,000. It’s not just the cost of the repair work that will put buyers off, though, but the hassle of having to get it done themselves – plus, the Yaris Sol is not a rarity so buyers can easily go and look at alternative examples that are not showing cosmetic damage. We’d therefore recommend getting the car fixed for sale first to get the best possible price, but we’d also say that €1,500 for a couple of scrapes and a dint sounds like a lot of money; are you getting that price through a main dealer? You might be better looking at a third-party bodywork repair specialist.
