Used Passat CC or new 3008?
With a budget of 26-30k, and mileage of 12k per year, would you choose a 2014 passat CC (low mileage diesel) or new Peugeot 3008 (probably petrol). Sporty handling, boot-space, and looks don't matter to me. Kids grown up also and I will keep for 6 - 8 years. My major choice seems to be a new crossover Vs 2.5yr old entry-exec. Any thoughts? TIA!

Go for the new Peugeot. The 3008 is a lovely car, and that 1.2 petrol turbo engine is a cracker. Plus, you’re insulating yourself from any changes in the diesel tax system down the line.
