Trade-in price for my damaged Superb?

Trade-in price for my damaged Superb?

Hello Shane, How much should I get on a trade in for my 2 year old 182D Skoda Superb - 1.6 Diesel - 120bhp - white (non-metallic) - 43,500 kms. It has damage to the front driver's wing which will need replacing. I know its very difficult to estimate its trade-in value when damaged but a rough ball-park estimate would be very much appreciated. I do not intend repairing before trade-in. I intend trading in against a Mercedes C Class 2015/2016/2017. Best Regards & Thanks Again Tom

Our answer:

Hi Tom,

If your Superb were in mint condition, it would be worth between €25,000 and €28,000, with trade-in values of between €20,000 and €24,000. However, the damaged wing is going to reduce that significantly – probably by more than it would cost to have the wing replaced. With so much choice out there and loads of mint-condition examples, customers are not going to want to buy a 182-plate Skoda they need to repair as soon as they sign up for it, so (accordingly) a garage will know this and offer you less for a trade-in. Don’t be surprised if they try to offer just €17,500-€21,000 for it.
