Hi Steve,

The Touareg is a decent thing, and has surprisingly low CO2 emissions for something that size. Plus it's comfy and pretty good to drive, with solid reliability. 

However... The problem is that, while the Volkswagen is good and all, there's simply nothing quite like a Land Cruiser. Not as sophisticated to drive, perhaps, but the sheer solidity and rock-solid reliability are just amazing. It'll never break and you'll never need to buy another car. Go for the Land Cruiser.
