Timing belt snapped on my Astra...
Timing belt snapped and broke on 99 Opel Astra..will a new timing belt fix the problem or is the car a right off ?

You've not told us which engine your Astra has, so we're assuming it's either 1.4- or 1.6-litre petrol. In both cases it's highly likely that engine damage will occur if the timing belt snaps, so it needs to be inspected and checked before fitting a new belt.
