Timing belt or chain in the Octavia?
Skoda Octavia 1.6 diesel 2013, does this car have a timing belt or a timing chain? If it is a chain how much does it cost to replace ?

Hi Declan,
The 1.6 TDI engine from 2004 onwards has a timing belt change interval of 225,000km or every four years, whichever is first. As always though, with timing belts, we'd recommend changing them sooner rather than later.
